Scope: Structural Steel Fabrication and Supply

1. Purpose of Close-Out

This report is submitted in support of Final Completion in accordance with Sub-Clause 10.2 (Taking-Over of the Works) and Sub-Clause 11.1 (Completion of Outstanding Work and Remedying Defects).

It confirms that the scope of works executed by VIP Metals has been completed in accordance with the Contract, approved drawings, Employer’s Requirements, and applicable standards.

 

2. Completion of Contractual Scope

In accordance with Sub-Clause 8.2 (Time for Completion), VIP Metals confirms that all activities within its contractual scope have been completed, including:

• Fabrication of all structural steel components as defined in the Contract and IFC drawings

• Welding, assembly, and finishing of structural steel elements

• Execution of inspections and quality control activities

• Surface preparation and corrosion protection as specified

• Packing, handling, and transportation of materials

• Delivery of all fabricated items to the site


No outstanding scope items remain under the responsibility of VIP Metals.

 

3. Compliance with Employer’s Requirements

Pursuant to Sub-Clause 4.1 (Contractor’s General Obligations):

• All fabrication works were executed in accordance with EN standards, approved procedures, and the Employer’s Requirements

• Welding was performed by qualified personnel in accordance with approved WPS and standards

• Dimensional accuracy and workmanship were verified prior to dispatch

• All materials complied with approved material specifications and traceability requirements


The Works are fit for their intended purpose in accordance with the Contract.

4. Quality Assurance and Records

In compliance with Sub-Clause 4.9 (Quality Assurance):

• Material inspections and verification were conducted

• In-process inspections were carried out during fabrication

• Final inspections were completed prior to dispatch

• Quality documentation has been compiled


All quality records are available for review and form part of the final close-out documentation.

 

5. Delivery and Completion of Supply Obligations

In accordance with Sub-Clause 8.3 (Programme) and Sub-Clause 8.7 (Delay Damages – where applicable):

• Structural steel components were delivered to site in 18 shipments

• Deliveries were executed in line with the approved delivery programme

• All materials were delivered in acceptable condition and suitable for installation


The final shipment constitutes completion of VIP Metals’ supply obligations under the Contract.

 

6. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

In accordance with Sub-Clause 6.7 (Health and Safety) and Sub-Clause 4.18 (Protection of the Environment):

• All works were executed in compliance with applicable HSE legislation and project-specific requirements

• No major HSE incidents were recorded during execution

7. Status of Defects and Outstanding Items

In accordance with Sub-Clause 11.1 (Completion of Outstanding Work and Remedying Defects):

• All identified defects and non-conformances within VIP Metals’ scope have been rectified

• No outstanding punch list items remain

• No defects are pending remedy at the time of this close-out

 

8. Taking-Over and Final Acceptance

In support of Sub-Clause 10.1 / 10.2 (Taking-Over of the Works), VIP Metals hereby submits its scope of work for final acceptance.

All contractual obligations relating to fabrication and supply have been fulfilled.

 

9. Contractual Close-Out Statement

In accordance with Sub-Clause 14.11 (Application for Final Payment Certificate) and Sub-Clause 15.1 / 15.2 (as applicable), VIP Metals confirms that:

• The contractual scope has been completed in full

• All technical and quality obligations have been discharged

• The works comply with the Contract, Employer’s Requirements, and applicable standards


VIP Metals’ scope of work for the CSI – 35MW Geothermal Power Plant project is hereby formally closed out.

Project Overview This project entailed the fabrication, supply, and delivery of a 250NB SCH20 pipeline with a total length of 210 meters, connecting the Dam Pump Station to the new reservoir. The pipeline was designed and manufactured to ensure structural integrity, corrosion resistance, and long-term serviceability under site operating conditions.
