steel components, including cat ladders, access platforms, and hand railings.

Fabrication Location: VIP Metals Workshop
Finish: Brushed / Polished (as per design specification) / Carbon Steel
All stainless-steel components were fabricated using 316L material, chosen for its superior corrosion resistance
and strength in harsh environmental conditions typical of dam infrastructure.
4. Fabrication Details
All fabrication works were executed at the VIP Metals workshop under controlled conditions to ensure
dimensional accuracy and compliance with design drawings. Welding and jointing processes were performed
according to EN welding standards, and all welds underwent visual inspection and quality verification.
5. Installation
The installation of the fabricated components was carried out at the Middel Letaba Dam site. This included:
- Positioning and securing of cat ladders.
- Assembly and installation of platforms and hand railings.
- Final alignment checks and anchoring to existing structures.
All installation work adhered to approved safety procedures and site-specific risk assessments.
6. Quality Control and Compliance
All fabricated and installed items were inspected for conformity to design, material, and dimensional
